Cambodia motorbiking to see the country and people, the best way to get to the remote and hidden corners of Cambodia. The adventure starts in the capital city and we will travel on 250cc dirtbike northward through scenic villages, mysterious temples. Highlight of the tour is the amazing Angkor Wat Temples. From Angkor Wat we head east to the hidden land of Mondulkiri, the land of exotic ethnic minorities and great nature scenery.

Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Penh
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport you will welcome by our tour guide and driver for transfer to hotel for check in
This afternoon, we will get familiar with the motorbike and spend around 1hr to test the motorbike around the Mekong River Bank. Welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – Kompong Thom
After breakfast at the hotel, today we travel northwest to the province of Kompong Thom.  The ride is quite smooth as we ride on the NH6. We will have a picnic lunch at the pre-Angkorian temples of Sambor Prei Kuk, the first major temple city in Southeast Asia. We continue on to the province of Kompong Thom, the best place for spend a night. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel.

Day 3: Kompong Thom – Preah Khan – Koh Ker
After breakfast, we continue to the great Preah Khan, exploring around there and the main sites such as  four-faced Prasat Preah Stung, Prasat Damrei and Prasat Mebon, we ride west on the old Angkorian highway to Beng Mealea. We explore Beng Mealea before continuing to Koh Ker. Dinner at campsite. Overnight camping in Beng Mealea.

Day 4: Koh Ker – Preah Vihear
Breakfast at the campsite. This morning, we explore the 10th century rival capital of Koh Ker, established by usurper Jayavarman IV. We explore all the major monuments in this extensive group, including Prasat Thom, Prasat Krahom and Prasat Ling. We continue our journey northwards, riding on dirt parths and bumpy villages roads to reach the remote mountain top temple of Preah Vihear. We enjoy sunset and a barbecue under the shadow of the temple. Overnight camping in Preah Vihear.

Day 5: Preah Vihear – Banteay Chhmar
Breakfast at the campsite and leaving the mountain sanctuary of Preah Vihear, we head west through the old Khmer Rouge stronghold of Anlong Veng to the vast and remote temple of Banteay Chhmar. Today we ride mainly on small dirt roads. Overnight camping in Banteay Chhmar.

Day 6: Banteay Chhmar – Siem Reap
This morning we visit the main temples in and around Banteay Chhmar and ride 14 km on poor dirt road to reach Banteay Top temple. We then travel south to Sisophon for a late lunch and then on to Siem Reap, the gate way to the amazing Angkor Wat. 
Dinner in Local restaurant and overnight in hotel in Siem Riep.

Day 7: Siem Reap – Banteay Srei – Ta Prohm – Angkor Thom – Siem Riep
Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning, ride 30km to the elegant temple of Banteay Srei built by a Brahman in the 10th Century, dedicated to Shiva. The famous pink sandstone structure bears a series of beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes. It is said these must have been carved by women as the detail is too fine for men’s hands, then we continued to Ta Prohm. This temple was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother. Ta Prohm has been controversially left to the destructive power of the jungle by French archaeologists to demonstrate the awesome power of nature. It has been largely consumed by the jungle and as you climb through the dilapidated stone structures you see many giant trees growing out of the top of the temple itself. Lunch at local restaurant

In the afternoon, we will visit the sites of Angkor Thom. This Royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II in the 11th Century. It was destroyed when the Chams from Vietnam rose up against the Khmers and invaded, sacking the city, and was subsequently renovated by King Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th Century. Its vast walls, some 6m wide, 8m high and 13km in length contain many monuments. We will continue to visit Victory Gate, the Bayon, this temple mountain, built by Jayavarman VII, is situated in the center of the city of Angkor Thom. It is a three-tiered pyramid with its entrance facing east. The central shrine is surrounded by 54 towers all crowned by gigantic faces, representing Avalokite-shvara but with the features of Jayavarman VII. Next stops are Baphuon, Phimean Akas, Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel in Siem Riep.

Day 8: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat – Tonle Sap – Siem Riep
After breakfast at the hotel, we ride to the magnificent Angkor Wat to view its architecture and bas relief. This temple is the largest religious buildings ever constructed and is truly one of the wonders of the world. Believed to have been undertaken as a temple and mausoleum for King Suryavarman II at the peak of the Khmer empire in the first half of the 12th century, Angkor Wat is the best-preserved of the Angkorian temples. Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will ride towards Tonle Sap for boat cruise on the Tonle Sap and visit floating villages. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Siem Riep.

Day 9: Siem Reap – Kratie 
Breakfast in the hotel and leave for Kratie. This morning, we travel southeast along NH6, with a stop for lunch in Kompong Cham. We then continue up the banks of the Mekong River to Kratie, a beautiful ride through peaceful villages. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel in Kratie.

Day 10: Kratie – Mondulkiri
This morning, we travel to Kampi to see the rare freshwater dolphins that inhabit the river here. We will have lunch in Kratie before hitting the road for Mondulkiri. Home to exotic ethnic minorities and elephants, this is truly a world apart. We take advantage of the new tarmac for the first half before climbing into the jungle for the second half of the ride. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11: Mondulkiri
Breakfast in the hotel and spend a day to explore the surrounding areas of Mondulkiri. First we ride to one of the Cambodia’s largest waterfalls, the double-drop of Bou Sraa. Then continue to some remote minority villages. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in hotel.

Day 12: Mondulkiri – Phnom Penh
After breakfast we head towards Phnom Penh, a long drive broken with breaks in Kompong Cham to visit the Angkor-era temple of Wat Nokor and lunch in local restaurant.

We arrival at Phnom Penh in late afternoon. Dinner in loacal restaurant and overnight in hotel.

Day 13: Phnom Penh sightseeing tour
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we visit the Royal Palace, situated on the site of the former citadel, it was built by king Norodom in 1966, in front of the Mekong. Inside its walls are the Throne Hall, the Chan Chaya Pavilion, used for performances of classical dance, the Napoleon III Pavilion, and the King and Queen’s residential quarters. Next stop will be Silver Pagoda, home to a glittering array of Buddhist statuary. Silver Pagoda is also called the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha, it is located in the walls of the Royal Palace. Inside, its floor is made up of 5,000 silver blocks. In the center of the pagoda, there is a magnificent 17th century emerald Buddha statue made of baccarat crystal. The walls enclosing the pagoda are covered with frescoes depicting episodes from the Khmer version of the Ramayana. 

We visit the National Museum, the world’s leading museum of Khmer sculpture. National Museum is situated near the Royal Palace, Cambodia’s National Museum offers a charming setting for the display of a stunning collection of Khmer art. 
Predominantly worked in stone, the sculptures date from both the Angkorean and pre-Angkorean eras, complimented by more recent examples of Cambodian art.  The museum is housed in a terracotta-roofed structure of traditional Cambodian design, which was built between 1917 and 1920. Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon, we visit to the harrowing genocide museum at Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields of Choeng Ek, both enduring memorials to the gruesome and brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge and then Russian Market and then view sunset from Wat Phnom, the symbol of the city.
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

All meals, which are indicated in the itinerary, are included in the price of this trip. While in big towns we will enjoy Khmer cuisine in fine restaurants. Once we travel away from big towns, the emphasis will be on healthy and nutritious fresh local produce.
Hotel & Home-stay 
In big towns we use the finest 3-star hotels with centre location. Please contact us if you prefer higher hotel categories.
In remote areas we use the best hotels or guesthouses available. 
Home-stay in Mai Chau is simple in term of bedding condition and toilet. We will stay overnight in the traditional house-on-stilt of the Thai people and, as the local do, we will sleep on bamboo floor with mattress, clean sheet, pillows and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually flush-style and some step away from the house.
Our tour guide
The tour will be led by one of our tour guides who are experienced in guiding motorbiking tours in Cambodia. He has been carefully selected and trained in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by the government. In addition, he has been trained in first-aid by SOS International and he knows how to deal with difficult situations. You will have a great time traveling with him.
The motorbiking day
A typical motorcycle riding day starts at about 8.30 am after breakfast. Lunch times can vary depending on the distance. We aim to reach the next overnight stop by 4.30 pm or 5 pm. During the riding we will have short breaks for rest, snack and photographing.
The bike
On our trip we use the 250CC dirt bike of Yamaha or Honda which are perfectly suitable for the biking roads of Cambodia.
What to bring 
Sun block, good helmet, riding gloves, anti-insect repellent, sunglasses, rain coat, toiletries, original passport.
